They arrived all fired up, motivated as ever, ready to invest alongside us for the future of our forests.
This Monday, we were indeed welcoming our new team of volunteers who will monitor the “𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲” plantations from the spring of 2022.
Each year, indeed, more than 9,000 trees have to be measured and this figure should increase further with the plantations of the next two winters. We therefore needed to reinforce the current team of 7 volunteers.
22 people responded enthusiastically to our call.
These new volunteer foresters, mostly forest owners themselves, will be trained in the coming months in tree measurement and observation techniques as well as in the encoding of information collected in the field in our database.
Some of them will also follow a training in forest health in order to be able to identify or adequately describe any health problems that may affect the plantations.
Welcome to them in the team and thank, already for their precious help!
