The 2021/2022 planting campaign is coming to an end, the last trees will be planted in the coming weeks. In all, 19,410 trees were planted across 15 sites, including 7 new ones such as Bergeval, Gomery, Ciergnon and Saint-Léger. This represents 67 new experimental plots of 20 ares.
On these, we are testing new tree species, such as:
We are also testing southern origins of native species, such as:
- sessile oak from Gascony and the Saône valley (France)
- common beech from the south of the Massif Central (France)
Finally, we are expanding the range of provenances for certain species already planted in previous years:
- Turkey oak from Bulgaria
- downy oak from Italy and South-East France
- Turkish hazel from Bulgaria
Appointment is made in the spring of 2022 with the various owners and managers of these new plantations to start their health and growth monitoring.
